Okay, this one’s not all that uncommon, certainly - but whereas I generally pick up the smaller ones that I find, and move them outside (or even just watch them for a bit before they wander off), Elsabeth cannot stand spiders.
So naturally, on the 2nd anniversary of this here particular Tumblr, we were out for a walk when I looked down and saw this gal, pictured above. She was barely moving, even when we got close, and so I got a couple of pictures with my crappy cell phone camera.
Then Elsabeth took a look at the photos and I heard a sharp intake of breath - “What are those green glowing dots on its back? That’s weird - wait a minute… is that a mama? OH GOD.”
So yeah, a female wolf spider, out for a walk with her children, the eyes of whom you can see glowing in the flash of the camera.
SLEEP TIGHT TONIGHT EVERYONE
HEY EVERYONE! COME AND SEE HOW
GOOD WE LOOK GREAT OUR PHOTOGRAPHERS WERE!
We had two very talented young women following us around with cameras as we prepared for, made our way to, and celebrated the beginning of our married life together and we’d love to share their excellent work with you! Click the link to see the entire gallery! (And of course, a very sincere thank you to Macy and Madison for all your hard work - it’s spectacular!)
Our dear friend Shannon (with the able assistance of her… assistant, Kam, who also moonlights as her husband) managed to withstand itchy grass, tick-infested woods, and difficult subjects and work some absolute magic with her camera this past Saturday. It was an honor to have someone as talented as her taking some very meaningful photographs for us. (Here’s the entire gallery of pictures, after which you have our permission to throw up from the overwhelming cuteness.)
What with me no longer being a Facebook user, I promise this is the only wedding-related mention y’all are getting out of me on any social network, OKAY?!
